The new Album "Takadum! Met Remixers"

„Takadum! Met Remixers” is a unique, limited publication, consisting of two records:

CD1 – “Takadum!” – the first original album of the band, launched in the spring 2011.

CD2 – “Takadum! Met Remixers” is an album featuring 10 remixes of chosen tracks, whose original versions come from both “Takadum!” as well as from Me Myself and I’s second album, intened for release in the coming year.

The new versions have been created by several acknowledged Polish artists and the band’s friends from Herbata and Echo-Tm, as well as by talented producers selected in a competition.

“Takadum! Met Remixers” provides a fresh look at Me Myself and I’s work, thanks to the application of new styles, arrangements, sound character and tone. It is a colourful play with sounds and moods, moving within the range of the widely understood alternative club music.

How do Me Myself and I comment on the album? “Me Myself and I have recently met a number of remixers. The actual idea for this album was emerged in the process of creating our original songs. The more compositions there were, the more remixes we received as a gift. People kept sending them to us spontaneously. At one point, when we were working with Creative Music, there came up an idea to publish them, first augmenting their number by the remixes of tracks from our yet unreleased album. Chronologically, the first Me Myself and I’s song to have been remixed was “Takadum Lal Electro-Funko-Sicko Remix,” created by Andrzej “Lalin” Kasprzyk soon after the old “Takadum” version appeared in the shops.

The album “Takadum! Met Remixers” shows how our music is viewed by other artists. For them, we are a material which can be moved, cut, twisted and modified, and in this way contribute to the creation of entirely new, individual messages. They are fascinating in their dynamics and variety. For us, it is an extraordinary discussionabout music. A discussion which employs notes instead of words.
