Lal | aka Andrzej Kasprzyk

A producer and musician. The co-creator of the hopelessly brilliant duet 2nd HAND BEATNIX: Lal&Magurac (the member of the recently reactivated legendary Polish group KRYZYS), the author of the HAITI vs. LAL project, as well as of numerous musical collaborations – musical installations, illustrating poetry and prose with music, movie soundtracks, DJ sets. As a producer, he is famous for his cooperation with, among others, National Geographic, CDProjekt (WIEDŹMIN – ‘The Witcher’), the old JAZZ Radio, Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing, TVP, the Polish Radio BIS, as well as with many groups, ranging from rock to jazz to reggae, to experimental electronics.

Echo_TM

Echo_TM is a duet of producers, existing since the spring 2005. It consists of two musicians accomplished on many fields – Tomasz Karczewski and Marcin Ziniak, who have numerous publications on their account. ECHO_TM explores the mysterious areas of music, ranging from reggae to click dub and other streams of the contemporary electronic music. Their debut single “dub culture” appeared in 2006, released by the Polish net label – Afterbeat, and it received a warm welcome on numerous musical portals.

Herbata

Herbata (The Tea) - is a cosmic emanation of electronic transfusion, a glass of the most fantastic beverage concocted of all the possible types of music by three musicians. Members: Magdalena “Magia” Pasierska –vocals, the co-creator of the famous duet Me Myself and I. Fascinated with soul music, but enjoying the hardcore No Means No in the breaks. An extraordinary voice, a unique soul, a composition of spaces, tones and tastes; Mateusz Stolnicki – a DJ, producer and guitar-player. With years, the co-creator of various sound systems, most recently All Sunrises Sound System – the official representatives of the cult Polish dub scene band – all the sunrises, he made his debut as Matelon on the medley album Dub Out of Poland no.3; Michał “2dubstEEr" Kowalski – a DJ, musician, producer, journalist, co-creator and leader of all the sunrises group, a DJ in the All Sunrises Sound System team. It was by accident that Herbata came to existence in winter 2009 somewhere at the crossroads of Wrocław (Magda) – Warsaw (Mateusz) – Słupsk (Michał). The decision to start playing together originated in the common experience from Kawa – a project described in terms of “new music,” created at the beginning of this century by Michał, Mateusz and Jacek "dubmajor Yama" Kaczmarek (Guernica Y Luno, a producer and DJ). Consequently, after Michał’s move to Wrocław, the group is meticulously preparing an entirely new original material that is to be brought to light at the beginning of 2012.

Żółw | aka Jakub Wojtaszak

Smolik ANDRZEJ

SMOLIK – the most renowned music producer in Poland. Not only does he produce songs and albums for other artists (such as, e.g. Katarzyna Nosowska, Maria Peszek, Robert Gawliński, Krzysztof Krawczyk, Maryla Rodowicz), but he also releases his own author’s/ producer’s records. The albums signed by Smolik receive an incredibly positive response both from the audience, the fans, as well as from the reviewers and the whole music business.

Smolik has invited numerous guests for cooperation, such as e.g. Artur Rojek (Myslovitz), Novika, Mika Urbaniak, Bogdan Kondracki or Victor Davies, as well as the talented Polish youth, among others - the vocalists from the SOFA group. The new already fourth original album by Smolik was released on the market on Novemer 10, 2010. And this time the following singers consented to Smolik’s invitation: Emmanuelle Seigner, Kev Fox, Gaba Kulka, Natalia Grosiak, Sqbass oraz Joao T. De Sousa. On “4” you may listen to the well- known artists accompanied by spacious, acoustic tones, a lively string orchestra, the wind instruments section, and some unusually arranged melodies. This album in its entirety was recorded acoustically live. During the recording session, there were used many technologies from the 50’s and 60’s. The old boosters, microphones, instruments – they all contribute to the character of these songs. Smolik’s first album appeared in 2001. It was the first original producer’s album on the Polish market, and at the same time – the first pioneering album of one of the most interesting and talented producers on our music market. The third album (2006) received a just acknowledgement, being awarded with a Platinum record. It was also for this album that Smolik won three Fryderyk Awards (2006) in the following categories: Best Music Production, Composer of the Year, Best Album Design. In 2007, the record was among the 10 most frequently purchased publications in Poland. Smolik is also a successful producer of movie soundtracks, music for theatre plays and for television. His also the author of music for numerous campaigns and commercial spots. His name is a brand associated invariably with music, good taste, best and newest trends, and the modern elegance. This status is confirmed by the awards that he has received in the recent years, such as TRENDY ELLE, the prestigious “Paszport Polityki,” the Fryderyk Award for a composer in 2003 and 2006, triple nomination for MTV European Music Awards. At the beginning of 2008, Smolik was awarded with Kreatura 2008 for his contributions to the music of commercials. In 2009, he also got involved in the concerting project “PEYOTL” together with Tomasz Stańko, which was very successful. The year 2010 brought him a distinction at the Sound Edit festival, where he was granted Człowiek ze Złotym Uchem Award (“A Golden-Eared Man Award”), awarded to the most outstanding music producers.
