Simply TAKADUM!

Me Myself and I not only is an exceptional band, but it also generates exceptions – as their career remained unperturbated by their participation in ‘Got Talent!’ Its core is constituted by vocalists Magdalena Pasierska and Michał Majeran. On their debut album, they are accompanied by a couple of beatboxers (that is – singers who employ their vocal tracts for achieving percussion sound effects). Their music is therefore strictly vocal. However, the ease and imagination in the instrumental treatment of voice add to the band’s richness of sound, which is at times even orchestral.  Their repertoire consists mainly of their own compositions (as the already popular “Takadum,” or the outstanding word-music styled “Dodi”), but there are also classics (“Route 666,” or the performed with taste “Summertime”). Their interpretation of Chopin’s ‘Mazurka’ gladdens the ear by referring to the traditions of the vocal quartet Novi Singers.”

Me Myself an I. Daniel Wyszogrodzki. Zwierciadło. May 2011

“For me, so far this is the album of the year. It is they that are, along with Kamil Bednarek, the true winners of “Got Talent!” The band Me Myself and I. Their first album has just been released under a much telling title TAKADUM! I don’t care whether it’s beatbox, onomatopoesis, or a sound whatever-you-call-it. It appears that people can really perform miracles with their lips…”

Kuba Wojewódzki. “Mea Pulpa.” Polityka 27-04-2011

“A passion for improvisation, invention in making use of one’s own voice, and simply the joy of singing and swinging – this is what we find in Me Myself and I. It makes you constantly return to this joy!”

Me Myself and I. Nowości Wydawniczne. Polish Market. 28-04-2011

“If there is an album of a “Got Talent!” performer that is worth any serious notice, it is this one.”

"Poczta Głosowa". Bartek Chaciński. Polityka. 27-04-2011

“With a little help from some acquainted beatboxers, Magdalena Pasierska and Majeran successfully combine the time-honoured traditions of jazz vocalize with the  spontaneity of hip-hop. Their compositions have a  positive ring to them, far from the commercial artificiality coming from the TV, on which MMI were first seen by the public.”

"Me, Myself And I: TAKADUM!, Onet.pl, 15-04-2011

“Let us not shrink from saying: they are the true winners of Got Talent. The band Me, Myself and I. Big Applause. I do recommend the album, it’s really worth it.  Haven’t listened to it, but so they say” – Kuba Wojewódzki

Kuba Wojewódzki. TVN, 5-04-2011

This debut is stunning, mind-blowing, breathtaking, though one should have expected something like that from a band which entered the so-called market a good couple of years ago, released a number of – let’s not avoid this clichéd word -  hits, shone in a few prestigious events, including a TV-show the name of which I forget - why litter your memory? – and still has retained its artistic virtue.” - Adam Domagała, zdzezemlzej.blogspot.com

"Me Myself And I: ‘Ludzkim, głosem" - Z dżezem lżej, 18-03-2011

Me Myself and I is an unusual phenomenon on the Polish stage. Even though there is quite enough of good beatboxers among the hip-hoppers (Zgas – one of the best in producing rhythmic sounds of musical instruments with the use of speech organs – accompanies the band on the record in the tracks “Żo” and “Monkey Song”), and enough of scat singers among the jazz masters, the Vratislavians managed to combine the two styles in an unconventional manner. TAKADUM! is a spectacle of Magda Pasierska and Majeran’s musical imagination and ability to create catchy tunes. And even if we do already know most of the ten tracks on their album, thanks to their concerts, their performance in “Got Talent!” or the afore-mentioned RAM’s medleys, it’s still good to have them compliled on a single carrier. And savour them while waiting for the next album with some new songs from the Vratislavian band which they plan to release already this year.” - Gazeta Wrocławska 2011.

"TAKADUM! - premiera debiutanckiej płyty Me Myself And I” - Gazeta Wrocławska, 15-03-2011

Me Myself and I are playful with moods: next to the club and dance style of “Skibaraba” (with a couple of swing bars), in which L.O.S. imitates with his voice the sound of electric guitar, there stands the peaceful “Dodi” (also with L.O.S.’s participation) backed by the scratching of a record player, shaman-like vocalizes, and a rhythmic bit in a Brazilian samba band fashion. The track unpublished anywhere else, but known from concerts, is the jungle piece ‘Tykopotyk’ (with Saul)” - Gazeta Wyborcza
